The Purpose of the Church
Calvary Bible Baptist Church is an evangelical, fundamental, Bible-believing church in Canton Ohio. We believe God has specifically ordained the church to be the vehicle He uses to spread the Gospel of Salvation, which comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The church meets to proclaim that message and to train His people in His word, so that they can be effective witnesses of that message to the world in which they live.
Our Goal
- Evangelize – Tell others at home and around the world of the salvation that is found in Christ;
- Edify – Encourage, build up, and disciple believers in the principles of God’s word;
- Equip – Enable believers to develop their spiritual gifts in service to the Lord;
- Exalt – Lift up and bring honor to the name of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Our goal is to develop a unified body of believers who will fulfill this purpose.
